Be Happy With Your Job…

…it’s important.n.gif

Hey, beautiful people! I know it’s been quite some time since I’ve posted on here! It’ll be that way sometimes because I don’t like to post anything here unless it’s something that could possibly be helpful to someone else.

Today’s message is simply about being happy where you work. You current job, even if it’s not your forever job needs to make you happy!  I was on a group page today for this podcast I listen to and a woman on there asked the group: “does anyone have a job they really love?” She then proceeded to talk about everything going on with her job that she hates, etc. Another woman responded to her in the comments by asking her if she even likes her job aside from all the bad stuff happening and the original poster said, “No…”

Here was my response in the comments:

M*****a is asking an important question actually. Here comes a novel but there’s an important point to it that I hope will help anyone who reads it… I’ve been working in food/beverage jobs since I was 17. I am now 34. For the first time in my entire working career, I’m happy with the job I have, the people I work with and even my boss is literally PERFECT. I actually manifested it while on a job hunt about three months ago. I was jobless for 2 months after quitting this sucky ass job as a prep cook at this place where the management were just shady as fuck and I couldn’t take it any more. I have 10 plus years of cooking experience but what I realized very recently is, even though there are great parts about being a line cook, I’ve actually never been a big fan of it. When you don’t like what you do, that spills over into everything and more often than not, your whole experience will suck ass and it will continue where ever you go. The one job I’ve ever had that I actually found pretty chill before becoming a line cook for the first time is being a dishwasher. That’s right. WASHING DISHES. As a dishwasher, depending on where you work, it’s great because you’re in your own little corner, not being bothered, you can bump your music and your biggest worry is getting all the dishes washes and cleaning up when you’re done. I now work at a yacht club that is by the bay, the chef cooks us a meal every day and I can sit by the water before work and during my lunch. I work full time hours, the people are kind, people bring in donuts every day, the servers bring us soda to the kitchen if we need….everything is perfect. I’ve never experienced this before and my vibrations are so high and I’m so happy. This is the place I will work until I’m able to work from home some day. I said to myself, “please, universe, just let this job I get be something I will like with nice people and everything I could ever want.” Boom. I manifested it. Moral of the story is, really think about what it is you want to do for your “right now” job. You deserve to be happy there too.

So that’s my message for today. If you’re not happy where you are, get the hell out as soon as you can. Don’t stay where you aren’t happy. It can backfire in ways you would not expect, trust me. You are allowed to be happy where you work. Really think about the kind of work you like that will keep you sane. For me, dishwashing is the closest thing to getting paid to NOT work as you can get so it’s my kind of job. LOL.  It’s easy and it’s also cool seeing your arms getting stronger over time for lifting stacks of plates ;-).

Because I’m happy with my job, I’m happier. Suddenly, I want to be healthier and am eating better, taking my vitamins. Suddenly I’m putting more effort into my hair bow business these days and am getting more views and sales in my shop….trust me, things fall into place when you take care of YOU. Something to think about…byyyeee…

What Is Sleep Paralysis?

sleep.jpeg

I’m sure that by now, many of us have either heard of and/or experienced sleep paralysis. I’m guilty on both counts. Here is an interesting video that a friend shared on Facebook today…

…and another great video on the subject from one of the greatest YouTube channel’s I’ve ever come across, Top5s…

For years, I never really had a clear understanding of what causes sleep paralysis because I’ve heard of many different explanations.

The first explanation I ever heard was from a psychic medium named Sylvia Browne, who used to be on the Montel Williams show every Wednesday (remember, back in the day, fellow Americans?). I was a kid and I have no idea why I still remember this but I remember an audience member standing up and telling Sylvia about her sleep paralysis experience and wondering what caused it. Sylvia told the woman that when we have sleep paralysis, it’s because while we sleep, our spirits leave our bodies (to do what? I wonder???) and when they return, sometimes sleep paralysis can occur just as our spirits are re-entering our bodies. Sounds insane, right? Hey, I’m just the messenger. Haha.

sleep-paralysis_full

During my very first sleep paralysis episode 10 years ago, I saw an image (eyes closed) of a woman’s torso going into my body over and over again, as if she was on a wheel or something, entering my body, going through it and under my bed and re-entering. She was wearing a Victorian style dress (white with black accents) and that was all I saw going into my body…not even her face. That image was accompanied by the sound of a train on train tracks. I remember being so scared because I felt like I was being held down and had trouble breathing and I couldn’t even scream. It was terrifying!

After that scary experience, I obviously wanted to know what the hell happened to me and why. One of the first videos I came across on YouTube mentioned that visiting a psychic can cause one to have sleep paralysis. It apparently opens some kind of portal. This struck a nerve with me because I had, in fact, very recently made a visit to a psychic for the first time. I took a mental note of that as a possible answer and moved on with my life.

I’ve experienced sleep paralysis probably about 5 or 6 times after the first time over the last 10 years. The scariest part is when you feel like you can’t breathe properly. Although I did have an experience where I saw a vision (eyes closed) of a devil hovering over me and smiling in my face as he held me down.

Another time, while I experiencing sleep paralysis while sleeping on my stomach, I definitely felt FINGERS pressing down on my upper back, shoulder area which was very creepy. What kind of shit is this, where sleep paralysis can make you feel someone else’s fingers on your body??? Strange stuff.

While I am more on the side of believing that the cause of sleep paralysis has to do with stress, depression, anxiety, etc. (I was always dealing with stressful situations during the times I had sleep paralysis, so it makes sense), I do also believe that there are other factors that can come into play when it comes to people feeling like they’re being held down in their beds at night, struggling to breathe. For example, if a person is living in a haunted house, there’s a chance that they’re experiencing something that’s a little less sleep paralysis and a little more of a not-so-nice spirit trying to get their attention. And who knows? Perhaps there is some type of sleep paralysis portal that can open up after visiting a psychic for one reason or another?

There are so many possible causes that very well could be true for anyone but there is one solution that could help with each cause and that is to simply do your best to take care of yourself always. Sometimes when we are going through stressful situations, for some reason, it just brings on more of the bad and sometimes, sleep paralysis can come into play. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep and all that other good stuff you need.

Feel free to do your own research on sleep paralysis to find out more and even how you can stop it…or at least mostly stop it. Okay, this concludes my random post on sleep paralysis. Haha. Byyyeeee!

A.S.M.R.-Don’t Knock It Til You Try It, Honey!

giphy

Here’s what our good friend, Wikipedia, says about A.S.M.R….

“Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a term used for an experience characterised by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. ASMR signifies the subjective experience of “low-grade euphoria” characterised by “a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin”. It is most commonly triggered by specific acoustic or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control.”

In a nutshell, ASMR makes you feel like you’re this guy…

giphy1.gif

It’s been about a year since I first came across ASMR on YouTube accidentally. Honestly, I wonder just how far deep in the YouTube universe I traveled in order to accidentally come upon it.  You know how it goes: one minute you’re looking at cat videos and then an hour goes by and you’ve come to a video titled, “Flying Whales: Do They Really Exist?” LOL.

The first ASMRtist I came across (if I’m remembering correctly) was ASMR Darling. Check out her YouTube Channel here: Click Here For ASMR Darling.

After watching a few of her videos and learning a little more about how ASMR works, I was reminded of the very first time I experienced ASMR in my life that I could remember. It was a few years back in Los Angeles. I was in a Japanese nail art salon getting my nails done. The salon was silent. I was relaxed with two woman working on my nails at once. As they worked on me, they were whispering to each other in Japanese about what I can assume was life, work and maybe even me (no, they were really kind I would hope not). Haha. The sound of their whispers was so relaxing to my ears! I felt like I was being hypnotized to sleep just from the sounds of their whispers. Very strange but every cool!

giphy

There are people who are immediately turned off by ASMR without even properly educating themselves on the subject, “Ewww, it’s too fetish-like for me…” What?? No, it’s actually you making it fetish-like. They’re not pulling out whips and tying viewers to imaginary bed posts before spanking them for crying out loud. LOL (although if you travel deep enough into YouTube, who knows…). I personally, like to darken my laptop screen before bed, pop in those ear phones and just listen. It’s all about the sounds for me.  Although watching an ASMRtist brush their hands softly in front of the camera in an up and down motion can definitely help lull me to sleep as well.

Definitely give this a good go and explore different ASMR videos and discover what your triggers are. Do you like the sound of whispering like I do? Did you feel like falling asleep in a silent high school class room back in the day when there was nothing but the sounds of pencils on paper and the turning of pages? Do certain visuals help relax you? These are examples of triggers. Type them into the YouTube search and go from there. You may just find yourself addicted some day and you won’t be able to get enough of your ASMR videos before bed (or whenever) or you may decide it’s not for you at all. Promise me you’ll at least try it out ;-).

giphy.gif

There are great benefits to ASMR too.  It can help with insomnia, lower stress levels, help people with anxiety and I even read something about the digestive system and weight loss (the last one doesn’t work for me *ahem*)! These are only a few examples of what ASMR can do for you but most importantly, it makes you feel good and when you feel good you’ll start to do other things to take better care of yourself.

Okay, now it’s time to list my top five favorite ASMRtists:

Maria (Gentle Whispering)

Emma (WhispersRed)

Gibi (Gibi ASMR)

Dmitri (Massage ASMR)

Fred (FredsVoice ASMR)

There are many, many, many more great ASMRtists out there but these are the four that I personally check in on the most to see their latest videos <3.

I’ve come to appreciate ASMR so much that I was inspired to start my own embarrassing YouTube channel called, “Just ASMR Audio” a while ago. I wanted it to be just focused on just the sounds because that’s what I like and let’s be real, I don’t want to be on camera. LOL.  I don’t know if I’ll create more videos in the future but feel free to check out the first four videos I put on my channel here if you’d like: Just ASMR Audio  Maybe they’ll be of use to you or maybe you just want to have a laugh at an ASMR newbie (please let it be the second reason. :-P).

That is all for today, folks! I just wanted to give ASMR a shout out today and I hope you enjoyed it. Until next time…

Here’s Me Thinkin’ Of You, Kid…

sss.gif

You are AMAZING! You deserve to be loved. You deserve to be happy. You deserve nothing but the best of people surrounding you at all times. Know that when people treat you badly, it’s because there are issues within themselves that need to be fixed and they’re just taking it out on you until they get their shit together. Smile in their face and kill them with kindness always. It can be hard to do this but know that it’ll do you good and maybe them too.

Do nice things for yourself. Go outside more often. Go to the beach and sit by the ocean and let the magic happen to your soul. Start doing things that you’ve always wanted to do, even if it means doing these things by yourself. If you’re a loner type? Who cares? Guess what? By doing all the things you love, no matter how strange, goofy, weird others may think they are, you will end up meeting people who love the same things that you do. Usually it’s people you meet doing what you love who are the most worthy of being in your presence. Those are the greatest kinds of friends.

If you have any talents, please don’t let them go to waste! The world needs to see what you can do. If you enjoy doing something but you’re not that great at it, the world STILL needs to see what you can do. You’ll be setting a good example to others by showing them the importance of having fun and doing the things they enjoy no matter what. Never give up on your dreams. Work hard until you are where you want to be and allow no one to discourage you.

Be a good person as often as you can (hey, we all have our bad person moments). Donate to charities and help others whenever you can. When you do good and be good to others, good will come back to you (that was good, right?).

Educate yourself on new topics you’d like to learn about just for fun by hitting up Google or your local library (Google is my friend). I once watched an entire astronomy course on YouTube because I adore space.

Get out and exercise a few days a week if you can, it’ll do you good. If there’s anything you know you can cut back on food or drink wise, please do that for your health and don’t wait until an organ starts having slight pains (not writing this from personal experience at all). Drink enough water every day. “Enough” is different for everyone, it depends on your weight (download water drinking apps or Google it), but at the very least, drink as much as you can every day without going overboard.

Keep your room/home clean, organized and pretty. It will actually make you feel good about yourself and like you can accomplish anything (no wonder I’ve been feeling like shit lately).

If you have any way of bringing some positivity into the world, online or off, please do it because it’ll make you feel good and happy as well as others (I no longer feel like shit ;-P)

Have a lovely day.

Until next time, folks!….
