Be Happy With Your Job…

…it’s important.n.gif

Hey, beautiful people! I know it’s been quite some time since I’ve posted on here! It’ll be that way sometimes because I don’t like to post anything here unless it’s something that could possibly be helpful to someone else.

Today’s message is simply about being happy where you work. You current job, even if it’s not your forever job needs to make you happy!  I was on a group page today for this podcast I listen to and a woman on there asked the group: “does anyone have a job they really love?” She then proceeded to talk about everything going on with her job that she hates, etc. Another woman responded to her in the comments by asking her if she even likes her job aside from all the bad stuff happening and the original poster said, “No…”

Here was my response in the comments:

M*****a is asking an important question actually. Here comes a novel but there’s an important point to it that I hope will help anyone who reads it… I’ve been working in food/beverage jobs since I was 17. I am now 34. For the first time in my entire working career, I’m happy with the job I have, the people I work with and even my boss is literally PERFECT. I actually manifested it while on a job hunt about three months ago. I was jobless for 2 months after quitting this sucky ass job as a prep cook at this place where the management were just shady as fuck and I couldn’t take it any more. I have 10 plus years of cooking experience but what I realized very recently is, even though there are great parts about being a line cook, I’ve actually never been a big fan of it. When you don’t like what you do, that spills over into everything and more often than not, your whole experience will suck ass and it will continue where ever you go. The one job I’ve ever had that I actually found pretty chill before becoming a line cook for the first time is being a dishwasher. That’s right. WASHING DISHES. As a dishwasher, depending on where you work, it’s great because you’re in your own little corner, not being bothered, you can bump your music and your biggest worry is getting all the dishes washes and cleaning up when you’re done. I now work at a yacht club that is by the bay, the chef cooks us a meal every day and I can sit by the water before work and during my lunch. I work full time hours, the people are kind, people bring in donuts every day, the servers bring us soda to the kitchen if we need….everything is perfect. I’ve never experienced this before and my vibrations are so high and I’m so happy. This is the place I will work until I’m able to work from home some day. I said to myself, “please, universe, just let this job I get be something I will like with nice people and everything I could ever want.” Boom. I manifested it. Moral of the story is, really think about what it is you want to do for your “right now” job. You deserve to be happy there too.

So that’s my message for today. If you’re not happy where you are, get the hell out as soon as you can. Don’t stay where you aren’t happy. It can backfire in ways you would not expect, trust me. You are allowed to be happy where you work. Really think about the kind of work you like that will keep you sane. For me, dishwashing is the closest thing to getting paid to NOT work as you can get so it’s my kind of job. LOL.  It’s easy and it’s also cool seeing your arms getting stronger over time for lifting stacks of plates ;-).

Because I’m happy with my job, I’m happier. Suddenly, I want to be healthier and am eating better, taking my vitamins. Suddenly I’m putting more effort into my hair bow business these days and am getting more views and sales in my shop….trust me, things fall into place when you take care of YOU. Something to think about…byyyeee…

$$Let’s Start An Abundance Log!$$

ddd

I have been learning about the law of attraction for over a year now and I find it very interesting and fun. The easiest way to explain the law of attraction is this:  whatever vibes you put out into the universe, whether it be with your thoughts or with your actions is what you will get back.  It’s important to love yourself and treat yourself accordingly. It’s important to have a positive attitude as often as you can. It’s important to do things that make you happy as often and you can. Do these good things and you will attract more good things back to you…and yes that includes money ;-). Karma is legit, folks.  If you say things like, “I’ll never get that job I want” or, “there are no good men/women out there” then the universe will make it so. It’s time to flip the script to something better!

I seem to remember the moment in Peter Pan when the pixie dust that was sprinkled onto the kids still wasn’t enough to make them fly. They had to think positive thoughts too!

Sometimes keeping a positive attitude isn’t the easiest thing to do and believe me, I completely understand that. Every day I need to check myself because I have my moments where I get sad because I know I deserve so much more good things in my life.

That right there! That’s where a lot of us go wrong and we need to work on not saying things like that to ourselves. We have LOTS to be grateful for and we need to start showing it every day.

An Abundance Log is just one of the many ways you can keep yourself in check. It is money focused so if you want to manifest more money into your life (I’ve manifested over $200 bucks with no current day job, thank you very much), this fun daily activity is just for you. Honestly, even if it’s not about the money, I think it’s great for anyone because it’s about being grateful for everything, no matter how big or small.

I first learned about this technique from a wonderful YouTuber named Leeor Alexandra in one of her live video chats.

Here’s her YouTube Channel here (She is an amazing young woman who will teach you how to keep your vibrations high): Click Here For Leeor’s You Tube Channel

For your Abundance Log, get yourself a journal to write in or feel free to open up a Word document and type it there (I do this).  Title it whatever you want but here’s what I wrote for mine:

$$$$Abundance Log$$$$” and then for fun I wrote…

“$$$$Money flows to me constantly in all different ways. I will post daily examples of the abundance in my life. Thank you God and Universe for every experience I write about.$$$$”

Now, it’s time to start your log. Every day, if you find a penny? If a friend buys you a coffee? If someone pays you money for a service? If your mom brings you food or cooks you a meal? You write it down in happiness! These things all represent something of value that has been given to you. You are grateful for all of these things and the universe is watching and thinking, “Wow, look at that list of things they’re thanking me for…I’m inspired to give them more of what they want!” That’s how this works! It’s as simple as that.  Let me remind you again that I’ve made over $200 while basically sitting on my ass while on a hunt for a new day job.

Have a better attitude about life. Know that everything is not happening to you but for you and watch the goodness keep rolling in for you. Keep your eye on the prize and don’t worry about how it’s going to happen. Enjoy the ride.

That’s all I wanted to share with you lovely people for today. Follow Leeor Alexandra and I’m going to list two other greats I’ve come across on YouTube who can inspire and teach you so much about the Law Of Attraction. Through them, you’ll discover lots of people who will inspire you to be better for yourself and those around you who you love.

The first is Ralph Smart (Infinite Waters): Click Here

Ralph posts inspirational videos every day on many different subjects. You’ll be sure to find some that inspire you.

The second is Suyash (Mind Body Spirit): Click Here

Suyash explains the law of attraction like no other and posts videos almost daily that feature stories from people like you and I, telling their stories of their law of attraction success. So when your abundance log works for you, you can tell him your story and he’ll read it for everyone and it will inspire others to try what you did and also become successful at it ;-).

Alright, folks! Get to manifesting your dreams!

Until next time….byyyyeeee!…..

Here’s Me Thinkin’ Of You, Kid…

sss.gif

You are AMAZING! You deserve to be loved. You deserve to be happy. You deserve nothing but the best of people surrounding you at all times. Know that when people treat you badly, it’s because there are issues within themselves that need to be fixed and they’re just taking it out on you until they get their shit together. Smile in their face and kill them with kindness always. It can be hard to do this but know that it’ll do you good and maybe them too.

Do nice things for yourself. Go outside more often. Go to the beach and sit by the ocean and let the magic happen to your soul. Start doing things that you’ve always wanted to do, even if it means doing these things by yourself. If you’re a loner type? Who cares? Guess what? By doing all the things you love, no matter how strange, goofy, weird others may think they are, you will end up meeting people who love the same things that you do. Usually it’s people you meet doing what you love who are the most worthy of being in your presence. Those are the greatest kinds of friends.

If you have any talents, please don’t let them go to waste! The world needs to see what you can do. If you enjoy doing something but you’re not that great at it, the world STILL needs to see what you can do. You’ll be setting a good example to others by showing them the importance of having fun and doing the things they enjoy no matter what. Never give up on your dreams. Work hard until you are where you want to be and allow no one to discourage you.

Be a good person as often as you can (hey, we all have our bad person moments). Donate to charities and help others whenever you can. When you do good and be good to others, good will come back to you (that was good, right?).

Educate yourself on new topics you’d like to learn about just for fun by hitting up Google or your local library (Google is my friend). I once watched an entire astronomy course on YouTube because I adore space.

Get out and exercise a few days a week if you can, it’ll do you good. If there’s anything you know you can cut back on food or drink wise, please do that for your health and don’t wait until an organ starts having slight pains (not writing this from personal experience at all). Drink enough water every day. “Enough” is different for everyone, it depends on your weight (download water drinking apps or Google it), but at the very least, drink as much as you can every day without going overboard.

Keep your room/home clean, organized and pretty. It will actually make you feel good about yourself and like you can accomplish anything (no wonder I’ve been feeling like shit lately).

If you have any way of bringing some positivity into the world, online or off, please do it because it’ll make you feel good and happy as well as others (I no longer feel like shit ;-P)

Have a lovely day.

Until next time, folks!….

“Excuse Me, Does My Hair Look Crazy?”

Hello, beautiful people! I hope you’re all doing well. I was inspired to tell a little story so here we go!

20914474_1810733058943065_7098437884047552867_n

Me (with the afro) with my two sisters.

Today, I was in Walmart doing a little shopping and a fellow African American woman walks up to me. First of all, I have to say that she was beautiful. She had an afro and was probably around 55 years old. This woman actually stopped me and asked me, ” does my hair look crazy?” I was half day dreaming when she was first speaking to me (not on purpose but sometimes I don’t process what I hear right away) but the gist of what she was telling me was that she was a bit paranoid that people might be looking at her hair funny….as in, it doesn’t look right.

I knew right then and there that she was what I like to call an, “afro newbie”….or at least someone who hadn’t worn an afro since she was a child, if ever.

I told her, “No, your hair looks great! I’m noticing more of us wearing afros these days, it’s really cool.” She started to second guess herself again and I replied, “that’s exactly the problem…some how, we’ve been brainwashed to think out natural hair doesn’t look good but it does. Your hair looks beautiful, wear it out more often.” She smiled, thanked me and walked away.

I don’t know when it happened and I don’t know why it happened but some where along the line, black people were some how brainwashed to not appreciate how their hair looks naturally. I’ve been guilty of having this way of thinking towards myself as well. My hair is so thick you could probably make an afro wig out of the hair that sheds from my head. Haha. It probably didn’t help that I grew up with two beautiful, biracial little sisters who each had hair I could put a comb through with ease and create the cutest hair styles with. It took me until I was in my 30s (I’ll be 34 soon) before I was 100% comfortable with wearing my hair out naturally. Whether it be an afro or afro puff pony tail hair styles……years back I would have been embarrassed to let my hair go free. Not any more, honey! I embrace it proudly.

Something awesome is happening these days, though. I’m seeing more and more women like myself wearing afros! I think that like me, they’re starting to learn that their hair is beautiful just the way it is and if they have days when they don’t feel like putting a flat iron through it then damn it, they don’t have to! I can bet that they’re also learning that compliments on their hair is on the rise. People love afros!

My favorite style to do in my hair is the, “frohawk.” I get the most compliments on it because lets face it, mohawks are awesome and look great on anyone. It was this video tutorial by Mr. Kate (one of my favorite DIY artists) that first inspired me to put five ponytails down my head in a straight line, top to bottom and comb those suckers out. It looked awesome!

The theme I was going for today is no matter who you are or where you come from, please learn to love something about you that maybe you haven’t allowed yourself to love before. As human beings, we all have our insecurities and have different things that we need to work on but hey,  at the very least, we can start with loving our natural hair!  Natural hair comes in many different textures on many different people, of course :-). I once met a young white guy who had an afro that I envied so much. It looked fantastic. Maybe he was someone who got teased as a child or maybe not but he definitely wore his afro proudly when I met him. We need more of this! By allowing your natural hair to fly free, you will learn to love it more!

Remember Ashley Tisdale who played, “Maddie” on The Suite Life Of Zack & Cody? She’s a curly haired brunette. For the show, they made her a straight haired blonde. Heaven forbid a curly haired child watch their favorite tv show and see someone that has hair like theirs, right?  I know they’re actors and it’s part of their job to play dress up and become someone they’re not but come on! How about we start allowing the actors to represent people that we may not always see as main characters and allow the actors keep their own hair or skin color for cryin’ out loud (Oh, yeah, Raven-Symone’ had to tan for her role of, “Raven Baxter” on That’s So Raven because apparently a lighter skinned black girl isn’t dark enough to play a black girl).

Paragraph full of sarcasm aside (I could have gone deeper into that rabbit hole so I cut myself off), I hope I made at least one of you smile or laugh. I had a bit of a rough night last night and wanted  something positive to come from my hours of tears. LOL. So, I thought, “Why not tell a bunch of strangers that their hair looks nice?” 😉

Until next time, folks….
